ワークショップ：他者との共生を目指す（Multiculturalism From Below）
静岡県立大学国際関係学研究科附属グロ―バル・スタディーズ研究センターは、2月16日に標記のテーマで討論を行うワークショップを開催します。このワークショップでは、グローバリゼーションへの反動が他者排除型ナショナリズムの現象を生んでいることを指摘し、その解決に向け、他者との共生のあり方を討論します。3名の学生が登壇します。
主催するグロ―バル・スタディーズ研究センターからは、石井由香教授が「多文化社会シンガポールと外国人労働者・新移民」と題して最新の成果をお伝えします。
また、海外からのゲストとして、フィリピン大学、東洋大学で社会学を教えになったMaria Rosario Piquero-Ballescas先生が、“Broadening Multiculturalism from below? Review and Updates”と題して基調講演を行います。
公用語は英語と日本語で、通訳はつきません。入場は無料で、学生、教職員、一般の方の参加を歓迎いたします。

Workshop: Multiculturalism From Below
Join us at our continuing unique workshop. Hear from speakers, learn about the diversity of societies and cultures, and get tips on starting your own project for fostering multiculturalism.
In our workshop, three students will give presentations on issues emerged from ongoing globalization. Professor Yuka Ishii from our university will share her research. She is a distinguished researcher on International Migration. Professor Maria Rosario Piquero-Ballescas, as an honorable guest speaker, will give a talk under the title of “Broadening Multiculturalism from below? Review and Updates”
Congress of IR (International Relations) 2017 is hosted by The Center for Global Studies, Graduate School of International Relations at the University of Shizuoka in Shizuoka, Japan. The workshop theme, ‘Multiculturalism From Below' reflects the Center's commitment to social issues at local, regional and international levels. The Center's commitment is rooted in the belief that practical knowledge is made through in-depth scholarly inquiries into every aspect influenced by globalization and counter-globalization across national and international communities. Two professors’ talks will be parts of lecture series hosted by the Center.
Congress programming is open to attendees, academics and non-academic audiences. English and Japanese are our official languages.
